Our summer Programme for university teachers provides the most up-to-date research, knowledge, and innovation in the higher education field delivered by world-class instructors. We provide participants with a unique experience at the University of Cambridge and Oxford, including learning and socialisation. We use collaborative learning and critical reflection methods that build on participants' wealth of expertise. Our training has a practical element where participants develop academic writing, attend conferences, and work on team projects.  

Tentative Program

Day 1: The Role of Higher Education in Society

• • Explore the transformative impact of higher education on individuals, communities, and global development. 

  • Discuss the evolving responsibilities of educators in shaping future-ready graduates.

Evening/Social Activities

• Dinner at Pembroke College, Cambridge

Day 2: Designing and Planning Effective Curricula

• Master strategies for creating innovative, inclusive, and outcome-focused curriculum designs. 

• Align learning objectives with real-world needs and institutional goals.

• Cambridge Tour

Day 3: Transformative Pedagogies for the Modern Classroom

• Learn and apply teaching strategies that inspire active learning and critical thinking. 

• Foster student engagement through collaborative and experiential learning approaches.

• Visit the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge

Day 4: Harnessing Technology and AI in Higher Education

• Learn and apply teaching strategies that inspire active learning and critical thinking. 

• Foster student engagement through collaborative and experiential learning approaches.

• Visit the Faculty of Education at the University of Oxford

Day 5 and 6: Attend the esteemed annual Teaching and Learning Conference at the University of Sheffield

Eligibility

• Hold a PhD or studying towards a PhD  

• Less than five years of teaching experience  

• Speak Arabic 

• Willing to network and join a network of academics  

• Willing to submit a motivation letter  

• Able to travel independently 

Key dates

• 31st of March: deadline for registration 

• 15th of April: Submit the motivation Letter 

• 30th of April, pay half of the fees 

• 1st of May: apply for visa if needed 

• 30th of May: pay the other half of the fees 

Cost

• £5,500 Programme Fees including all social activities  

• £900 Conference Fees (Optional)  

Not included

• Accommodation, transportation (except from/to airport), visa, and travel costs are not included.
